The RBI or ‘Reserve Bank of India’ had sanctioned the Amalgamation of Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd. with HDFC Bank Ltd. As per the Banking Regulation Act of 1949, hence, since 23rd May 2008, all the branches of Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd. are operational under the name of HDCF Bank.
