Brief Description:
This Stadium was constructed in 1982 in order to provide a venue to host Indoor sports during the Asiad Games Event. It spans over an area of 102 acres and hence is known as the largest indoor stadium in India. It is equipped with excellent audio and lighting systems that enable smooth transmission of High Definition Television (HDTV). This Stadium is divided in two equal halves separated by a soundproof and fireproof synthetics wall. Facilities include fully air-conditioned main indoor arena that offers a seating capacity of 25,000 audiences. This stadium also hosted the Netball Competitions during the recent 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi.
