Russian Centre, Connaught PlaceCategory: Library Brief Description: The Russian Centre Library or ‘RCSC’ in short was formerly known as the ‘House of Soviet Science & Culture’. It was established in 1958 with the primary aim at promoting and strengthening the relationship and friendship between the people of India and the Russian Federation. The Library is situated at the Centre and homes a stock of over 25, 000 books in the Russian language, English and Hindi including over 500 Videos and DVDs, 61 periodicals that comprise of 40 Indian periodicals and the rest in Russian. This Centre also hosts numerous cultural activities, exhibitions, seminars, conferences and such related activities in close cooperation with the Indian social organisations, associations and clubs.
